Having our first session with Abel today was very helpful in thinking about what the degree show may look like, and to consider the sensorial experience of the visitors. A main development reached from this session was the idea to have the VR part of the experience on a patch of fake grass, on which the devotee must pose in a particular pose for a particular length of time to show their devotion. To further show their devotion, they must take their shoes off before stepping on the grass.

After this, talking to Ana, the direction of my research question is heading towards somethings around ‘status as an incentive for cross-platform retention’. Beyond looking in books like the ones I’ve been reading about status and belief, I will look at e-Journals, which would have more recent research relevant to cross-platform retention, Virtual Reality, and immersive media in general.
